Getting Started
Your Vocal Vision Call
Before we dive in, we'll have a conversation about your goals, experience level, and what you want to achieve with your voice. Based on that call, I'll recommend the best session package for you - including how frequently we should meet and how long each session should be. This ensures you get a customized plan that actually fits your needs.

Understanding Your Vocal Journey
"I'm feeling discouraged. Am I making progress?" This is actually a sign that you might need to push in a little more, not pull back. When you feel stuck, that's often the most important sign that work is happening. Trust the process.
"Why does it take so long?" Your voice is a muscle system. Just like building muscle at the gym, it takes time. Real, sustainable technique typically takes 6 months to a year - sometimes longer, depending on where you start and how much time you put into practice. After that, it's about maintenance, growth, and working towards your evolving goals.
"How long until I see results?" It varies by individual and goals. Some shifts happen quickly, but building solid, sustainable technique typically takes 6 months to a year. After that, it's about maintenance and growth.
"What if I just need help for one performance or recording?" That's what Elite Coaching is for! Reach out to discuss intensive sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sessions, Structure & Scheduling
Q: How often do sessions happen? A: You choose. Sessions can be weekly, every other week, or customized to fit your schedule and goals.
Q: How does monthly time work? A: Your session hours are allocated for the entire month and can be rolled over to the next month if unused. You have flexibility in how you use your time - whether that's traditional hour-long lessons, two-hour deep dives, four-hour intensives, or 2x 30 minutes every other week.
Q: What's your cancellation policy? A: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice mean you don't get to make up that session - those hours are lost.
Q: What if I'm sick? A: If you're sick on the day of your session, your hours will roll over if at least 24 hours notice is given. We can also do a Zoom call instead, or you can send me a video for feedback so you still get some learning done. We can even talk about vocal health and recovery. Here are some tips.
Commitment & Investment
Q: Why do new and intermediate students need a monthly commitment? A: Vocal training is building a muscle - it takes consistent, focused work over time. For new and intermediate students, I require a minimum 6-month commitment because real, lasting progress simply doesn't happen in a month or two. This commitment ensures you build the foundation needed for genuine growth.
Q: What if I'm not ready for 6 months? A: I offer 3-month trial packages at a higher rate for those who want to experience the process before committing long-term. However, the best value and results come with a 6-month commitment.
Q: What are the pricing/investment options? A: Investment varies based on your session package and commitment level. After your Vocal Vision Call, we'll talk about what's best for you and explore different options. Contact me for rates.
Q: What's the difference between Ongoing Development and Elite Coaching?
Ongoing Development/Lessons: Built for foundational technique, vocal health, long-term skill building, and maybe even songwriting, vocal production, or artist development. These require consistent monthly work.
Elite Coaching: For experienced singers who need targeted, high-level work on specific performances, recordings, or auditions. These are intensive, project-based sessions available as one-off sessions (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours).
Payment & Billing
Q: When does payment happen? A: Whatever day you sign up for your package is when your monthly billing date repeats. If you need to change or update payment information or adjust your billing date, let me know and I'll work with you.
Keeping Your Spot & Taking Breaks
Q: What happens if I need to take a break? A: You're welcome to take time off. However, if you pause your monthly payments, someone on the waiting list will take your spot in my active studio roster. Also, if my prices increase during your break, you'll come back in at the new price.
Q: Can I keep my spot if I'm not actively taking sessions? A: Yes! If you continue your monthly payment, you maintain your spot on my studio roster even if we're not working together currently. Those hours will accumulate and you can use them whenever you're ready to return. This is perfect for busy seasons, travel, or recovery time - it ensures your spot in my studio remains yours.
Q: How many students do you work with? A: I keep 35 clients on my active roster to ensure everybody gets quality attention and schedule flexibility.
Real-World Scenarios
Sarah's Story: Sarah takes sessions weekly and uses 4 hours per month. She's building a strong foundation of breath support and expanding her range. When she went on vacation in June, her hours rolled over. She used them for an intensive 4-hour session to get back on track when she returned.
Marcus's Situation: Marcus has a demanding work schedule and can only take sessions every other week. He stays on a monthly payment plan, which keeps his spot and gives him 2 hours a month that roll over. Some months he banks his time, then uses all his hours at once for a big project.
Leah's Journey: Leah needed to take 3 months off for a work project. She continued her monthly payments to keep her roster spot but didn't take any sessions during that time. She accumulated 12 hours. When she returned, she had plenty of banked time and jumped right back in without losing momentum.
Note: If someone wants to take a break but can't continue payments, they also have the option to reduce to a smaller package to maintain their spot. And of course online options are available if you are out of town.
